Chapter 10:
Hope Comes
Alexander’s men and David’s Casters left the city as they headed up the mountains. Alexander guided David to the mountain where the relay was. They rode on the carriages and looked out as they were hovering through the meadow of giant sunflowers. These kinds of flowers must have grown after Alexander’s men went down the valley the first time. They followed the river that went up the valley.
Aoife, Howie, and Yuya checked and loaded their weapons on top of their carriage. Alpha hovered next to Alexander as he sat next to David at the lead carriage. The Casters kept their

I had another nightmare. They’re getting worse; more running, more falling, more panic and sweat. I walked down the carpeted halls of the hotel barefoot to get to the ice machine, which is beside the elevator, so I could get myself an ice cold glass of water at half five in the morning. I had to sit for a couple of minutes listening to my music before I calmed down.
I feel bad about hanging up on Jaiden yesterday I just couldn’t deal with it all yet. I am not ready to talk about it. I need forget all about it and have a nice holiday and then I have to focus on my exams when I get b

Rude Awakening
The scribe had slept wonderful until his blankets were rudely stripped away from him. His eyes jerked open as he fumbled in the pitch black to find a candle and light it. When he finally did, two figures stood both in black with hoods covering their faces. The scribe went to scream when a hand went over his mouth non to gently. "I heard you were looking for us, why?" said the taller of the two. The hand was quickly removed being swallowed by shadows as the scribe began speaking.
"You're Remnant?" he asked in disbelief then he blurted out. "You couldn't have found a better time to visit me than-" he

THE REMNANT
As the sun sank beneath the horizon, inns roared to life as weary travelers roamed in looking for a warm meal and a soft bed to relax in. Others were there after a long exhausting day of harsh work; others where men ignoring the idea of returning home to where their nagging wives waited. They gathered like moths to light as they huddled around the crackling fire either sitting in booths or round tables soaking in its warmth as it was a chilling night. Barmaids ranged from seventeen to early twenties, rushed around like chickens without heads. They made their way through the maze of men taking orders and filling up
After further thought, I decided to examine the floppy disk itself. Maybe there were clues that I didn’t notice, but looking into the disk’s properties revealed nothing of interest. For some reason, I decided to make a copy of the application itself, so at least I know I wasn’t imagining things (Not like I would imagine getting a floppy disk in the mail anyway).
But as soon as I looked into the disk, the file was gone. Great, there goes my one evidence that I wasn’t imaging an incredibly weird application that somehow despite the technical differences in an outdated version of Windows and the latest version o

Isabella, along with Cargo Specialist Vienna Teng had just taken off from the Sinus Roris Base on Earth's moon. The 32-year-old Chinese-Canadian Teng had just packed the Unity with 120 metric tons of food and other supplies. Among the supplies was Plutonik 1, a Russian-built scientific probe intended to aid the Vespucci crew in gathering data on the planet from orbit.
When the two re-docked with the Vespucci-D, the cargo was placed in the ship's cargo bay, located in the central cylinder of the centrifuge. These days, most interplanetary shipping was done by the Interplanetary Shipping division of the now-

Isabella Cellini was a beautiful, 36-year-old Italian woman with long, jet-black hair which she normally tied into a ponytail, and while she wore little make-up, she didn't really need any owing to her natural good looks. She was a normal-sized woman, neither overweight nor excessively thin. Unlike those influenced by tabloid culture, however, she was not obsessed about her appearance, thus freeing her mind to focus on more important issues. Yet, to all except her family and colleagues, she came off as being a bit distant, even alienated, socially. While her fellow crew members generally respected her, they rar

I would like to give credit to the following individuals: Harry Schwenk, John McCain (not the US senator), Salvador Ortega, Gerrit Ribbens, "Sir Mildred Pierce" (real name unknown), Eric "Stargazer" Gillespie, Jose Pablo Luna Sanchez, Greg Burch, Andy McSorely, and Martin Schweiger. While the basic story is my idea, these individuals created a series of simulated space vessels for a computer program called Orbiter (created by Schweiger) on which the spacecraft in this novel are based. The names of the characters, with the exception of a few characters including Izzy Cellini and Yuri Komarov, were created by Pierce. Al
